Affordable Urban Redevelopment Areas, Triple Bottom Line Assessment (2007)
Client
Department of Families and Communities, South Australia
Project Description
Analysis of several significant Affordable Urban Renewal Areas to illustrate potential constraints and opportunities for redevelopment. Implementation of a multi-criteria assessment, land use planning, economic, environmental and social analysis.
InfraPlan was engaged to identify the constraints and opportunities for the potential redevelopment of several nominated Affordable Urban Redevelopment Areas (AURA) and to undertake a ‘triple bottom line’ assessment of considering infrastructure, social, environmental and economic criteria. Areas included: Woodville West, Seaton, Pennington, Kilburn and Blair Athol and West Lakes. This work led to the adoption of the current affordable housing policies by Government.
