George Giannakodakis (BE MIEAust MAITPM MPIA) has over 25 years experience in urban and regional policy (social, environmental and economic), transport and infrastructure planning and economic analysis. Prior to establishing infraPlan (Aust) in 2005 he held several senior management and project director positions in SA State Government including Manager, Metropolitan Planning Strategy, Project Manager, Urban Regeneration, Manager, Urban Development and Social Policy, Manager, State Transport Strategy and Network Strategy Manager, Department of Transport, Energy and Infrastructure. During his career he has led the strategic development of state transport strategies, the Planning Strategy for Adelaide, TOD projects and feasibility studies, urban and regional policy development projects; in all over 90 strategies and projects and over 20 major infrastructure projects. George has served on a number of State and National Committees including economic evaluation, National Greenhouse Taskforce (AGO), Austroads, National Intelligent Transport Systems Committee and the National Working Group for Affordable Housing.
Gayle Buckby has over 22 years experience in traffic and transport planning, working in the areas of both consulting and local government. She has considerable expertise and experience in preparing traffic reports for residential and commercial development applications, the planning of cycling and walking networks, local area traffic management and community consultation. She is a commuter and utility cyclist and has an extensive understanding of the technical, practical and social aspects of sustainable transport modes including walking, cycling, public transport, car sharing and trip chaining. Gayle has also worked closely with Urban Designers in various projects to develop environments that encourage active living. Complementary skills include Autocad and design graphics.
Benjamin Russ (BA, GDURP) is a strategic planner with qualifications in social geography and urban planning. Ben has extensive experience in transport policy and strategy, land use planning, public consultation as well as traffic impact assessment. Benjamin has recently project-managed the consultation process for the Mount Barker Transport Master Plan, was the project liaison for the Seaford Rise LATMP and was part of a high profile team for the City of Onkaparinga Integrated Transport Strategy and the Northern Territory Transport Strategy. Benjamin is also infraPlan’s Office Manager and brings strong project management skills to our client’s projects. He is currently co-chair of the Transport Planning Chapter of the Planning Institute of Australia (SA Division).
Ben Leonello (BSc Env Hons) has considerable experience in managing environmental consultancy, policy and development projects relating to climate change, carbon management, sustainability and marine conservation within Australia, the United Kingdom and Kenya. Prior to joining infraPlan, Ben held environmental positions including Senior Climate Change and Sustainability Consultant for ADAS UK Ltd, Scientific Officer for Coastal Protection Branch and Environmental Policy Officer for the former Office of Sustainability. He has expertise in triple bottom line analysis, environmental planning and carbon management. Ben is completing a Master of Sustainability at Adelaide University and works with multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative, sustainable solutions on behalf of infraPlan's clients.
Wei Jiang (BE MA (URP) MPIA) joined infraPlan in 2009 and has brought valuable project support skills to many of its urban planning, transport policy and environmental projects. Wei’s ability to work efficiently and effectively over a broad range of areas has proved valuable to infraPlan’s multi-disciplinary team. Prior to joining infraPlan, she had over four years experience as civil engineer in China engaged in pre-stage investigations, design of civil engineering projects and development of municipal water plans in Nanjing metropolitan city area.
